Why You Shouldn't Use Traffic Exchange Services To Build Your Home Based Business

By Russell Howe

When looking for tips on how to build an income online via an affiliate program such as Empower Network or Global Domains International, it is not uncommon to hear people talk of using a traffic exchange service. In today's review we'll reveal why that's exactly what you should not be doing.

Many areas of online business are misleading and this is one of the biggest culprits. Often billing itself as a miracle solution to your home business problems, it leads to very little benefit. [

The main reason these services have survived for so many years comes down to the simplicity of the marketing behind it. They realize that the majority of the home business industry is looking for a way to get quick, easy results which don't require very much effort on the part of the affiliate.

If you are not sure what one of these websites actually does, here is an explanation:

Members get to watch each other's adverts for their chosen affiliate program and by viewing other people's ads you earn credits for your account. The more credits you earn, the more times you can enter your own advert into the rota so other members watch your post.

Undoubtedly you can already see why they don't work, but with a little marketing spin you can really sell one of these to folks who are new to the industry. On the surface, it appears everybody who sees your advert is interested in what you have to offer because they're already an affiliate marketer.

But when you get down to the reality, it's nowhere near as great as it sounds.

First of all it's boring. Countless affiliates spend hours clicking on adverts every single day and despite seeing very little return from it they simply continue with the same strategy. Becoming your own boss was supposed to be fun, remember?

Primarily, every person using the website already has their own internet business because that is the reason they joined the service in the first place. When somebody is looking to join an opportunity they don't sign up to one of these services and scroll through the ads, they do research on search engines, social media and Youtube. They eyes which are looking at your advert have very little interest in it, other than the fact it earns them a credit.

Secondly, whenever somebody uses one of these services they tend to open up five or six different websites like this and work their way through the countdown timer on each one by scrolling through the tabs one after another. They never actually watch anything on the screen at any point. If that's what you do when you are surfing to earn credits, that's exactly what others are doing too, meaning your ad is rarely even getting seen.

Premium memberships are often touted as the solution to the endless clicking but, given the point above, there is very little realistic value to something which isn't even going to be seen.

To put it bluntly, if you are serious about making money via the internet and becoming your own boss you can find far superior advertising resources for your business than a traffic exchange service. Companies like Empower Network and Global Domains International are full of affiliates who still believe this to be an effective way to market their business and, despite years of poor results, carry on with the same strategy. Learn from their mistakes and put your attention to more effective, less time consuming methods.
